Who cares it anyway?

Performance metrics? why bother about this? what is this any way? can I live without this? will the society gauge my performance metrics? what are these anywayz?

Typically, an average indian mindset of measuring individual performance can be quantified as
  1. Job [Nature, Position and Monetary benefits]
  2. Ancestoral background [derived property - inheritance !]
  3. Dowry? [not all parts of the community]
  4. Materialistic property [Car, Own house(s), Club memberships, Golfing freak!...]
  5. Global presence [International Student, International business trips, Holidays, Global shopping]

a lot more to add, are these the right attributes of what you truly are? I guess we have a defined approach and predetermined goal across various stages of life, why look at these? would there be a change in the views? should there be one?

Ideal performance metric would be accomplishment of your passion. That being said, why possess materialistic passion? Any comments?
